Tutorial – How to Make Bread Dough Christmas Ornaments

Author: Merry Christmas! Felix and I thought this would be the perfect time for this particular tutorial. As most of you know, I started out making bread dough Christmas ornaments some 32 years ago. Whew! The years have flown by! Anyway this is a great family project for you and your kids, especially during the holidays. It is very inexpensive and the ingredients come from the grocery store. So roll up your sleeves and get ready to put your hands on some dough! The recipe is below. As usual I am going to ask you to favorite, comment and subscribe! Ingredients: 2 Cups (all purpose flour) 1 Cup salt 1 Cup water (You can add food coloring to the dough or you can paint after it is baked) Bake at 200 degree oven for 4-6 hours HAVE FUN! I love your work!
In your description you said 200 degrees for 4-6 hours and in your video you said 350 degrees for 30 minutes??? I am very confused!!! Please help!!!???!!!
You can try either one. It just depends on what you plan on doing with the end product. If you are just doing it for fun and not going to keep and want to do it fast then do the 30 minute one. When I was selling them, I actually left them in the oven overnight at 200 degrees so they actually baked about 12 to 25 hours.

hi Deb, one of my kids made me an ornament when he or she was in pre-school 30 yrs ago. I still have it, I just haven’t gotten to all my ornaments. Since I live in Colorado do I have to put extra flower in for high altitude? I personally like the polymer clay better, but for kids this is a great project. Blessings, victoria
